Offline Ai Computer – The “Doom Box”

Description

This compact computer comes pre-configured with an offline AI that runs without the need for the internet. Imagine being in a “Walking Dead” type of scenario and having a little box that contains just about all of the text based information on the internet that we currently take for granted.
You can ask questions like:
“My dog was bitten by a rattlesnake, what do I do?”
“What crops grow in my area and when do I plant them?”
“What canned foods should be the most safe to eat after their expiration date?”
“My kids are bored. How do I make a Monopoly board and what are the rules?”
“How can I generate electricity using parts from an abandoned car?”
“How do we reestablish a local government that isn’t as corrupt as the last one?”
“Do I need to lift a Volkswagen Beetle, install a V8 and put 44″ tires on it now that we’re living in a Mad Max world?” (the AI’s answer to this is actually pretty funny)
…and countless other questions we don’t even know we’ll need the answer to right now.

This computer also has a software defined radio that allows you to see and tune in to different RF transmissions (separate bluetooth speaker needed to listen to the transmissions). Convenient for finding (or avoiding) other survivors in a post apocalyptic world. With most current transmissions theoretically nonexistent, it would be relatively easy to spot people using walkie talkies anywhere near you.

Since this Ai is running completely off line on the computer, it will be slower than something like ChatGPT that utilizes massive networked computers. It’s still fairly fast though for what it is… it usually takes a few seconds to a minute to initially think about your question and then it usually types out the response close to a slow human typing speed.

The computer comes with a 5V/5 amp 110 volt power supply. It will also run on most USB-C power supplies that can provide a steady 5 volts with at least 4 amps like laptop power supplies.

– 256GB Micro SD Drive
– Official 7″ Raspberry Pi Capacitive Touchscreen (800×480 Pixels)
– RTL-SDR (V4) Software Defined Radio
– 3 External USB Ports
– 1 External Ethernet Port
– 1 SMA RF Connector For External Antenna
– 1 USB-C Input For Power
– 1150 Pelican Case Enclosure

Power Consumption:
– 5 watts when sitting idle
– 7 watts when using the software defined radio and outputting audio through a bluetooth speaker (not included)
– 10-15 watts when the AI is responding to a question.

EMP Protection:
We’re currently working on a custom EMP enclosure but for now, wrapping it in a few layers of heavy aluminum foil would offer adequate protection according to groups like CISA.
