$4,000 Pocket Excavator…?

We’ve been hearing a lot of good things about these little excavators. They’re surprisingly powerful and simple to maintain with a very common Briggs & Stratton gasoline engine powering the whole thing. We once rented a tiny diesel Bobcat excavator for a little project and these are pretty comparable at a fraction of the cost. These would be ideal for collecting and processing firewood, cleaning/maintaining your property, installing culverts, digging ditches, cutting in hillside ATV/walking trails, digging small ponds… all sorts of projects.

The only problem we see with them is that they may be a little OVER powered, so you would need to be careful traveling on slopes or lifting very heavy objects. Other than that, these would be perfect for transforming your property into exactly what you’d like it to be.

This seems to be the main distributor in the US, but many times you can get them locally from someone who ordered a few in bulk to re-sell.
